WHAT IS THE HI PROJECT?

I always smile when I get a piece of post in the mail. It doesn’t matter what it is. It could be something I ordered and am expecting; it could be a regular postcard from my brother-in-law, who loves to send them; it could be an actual letter from a friend.

Sometimes I dabble in watercolors. In the dark days immediately following the 2016 election, I penned a little blue creature with a snaggle-toothed grin and green eyeballs and posted him to my facebook page. He made me smile on creation, and folks said he did the same for them.

Months later, I was in my regular habit of dropping a quick email to a friend to say hello when it came to me. Why not combine some of these things that make me happy?
