@Charlotte, I love the Dennis Lehanes, but I’m also looking forward to discovering new reads from you. It seems we have similar reading tastes, and yes, yes, do start with the first few books of the Kenzie/Gennaro series…they’re utterly charming. @Grier, well, I would have never pegged you for a “Real Housewives” fan, so we’re even.

I agree Yishun, I think that’s why I am still teaching the craft classes after all these years(and plenty of nonsense to deal with doing it, long stupid story). It’s one of the few places I feel like people actually listen to me. It makes you also realize, you better have integrity and be very wise with whatever comes out of your mouth because people are in fact listening!

Hey Yi Shun! Thanks so much for the kind words (when I start looking for a publicist, I’ll be looking your way…) I checked out your review of the Dennis Lehane book – I’m embarrassed to admit that I’ve never read one of his novels (and I call myself a crime fiction addict). So I think I’ll go buy a few and check him out. I love it when I find a new author who has a huge backlist! But it looks to me like I should start with one of the earlier ones featuring the two characters — the hunt is on!
