About Me, and This Site

yishunHi!

I’m Yi Shun (say “yeeshun”) Lai and this is my web site.  (Find me on LinkedIn and Twitter, too.) I’m a writer and an editor, and I live in a wee ‘burb of New York. Me, my partner Jim, and my dog Sprocket think it’s a nice enough place to live. It’s quiet. Good for the writerly life.

Here are some things I do when I’m not working on my fiction projects.

I help people to become better writers. If you are a college student looking for the perfect entrance essay, an executive who wants to better communicate your ideas to your staff, or just want to better express yourself, I can help.

I fine-tune your writing. If you’ve written something that you think needs an objective eye, I’m your girl.

I refine your message. What you have to say is important. I’ve helped many companies–and the people behind them–to make the best of their brands. I’m a marketing and advertising junkie, and my interest works to your advantage. This includes everything from printed materials to social media.

Rates are negotiated on a per-project basis.

My LinkedIn profile has a lot more information, or use the information below to find me.

On this site, you’ll find some photos and some thoughts and updates on the stuff I’m working on, and even some stuff that I just plain like. Have a good time here. And stop by any time.

Like I said, it’s quiet in the ‘burbs. A girl needs visitors, you know.

Here’s how to find me in real life:
